- Back home, Dharma thinks that her accident happened so that she could help others, while Greg deals with an insurance problem.
- Even during her rehabilitation and still in a wheelchair, Dharma keeps meddling with everybody else's love - and other lives, but none of them accepts or appreciates it, and even matchmaking Pete with her physiotherapist turns sour. She also pretends to need no help and ignores doctors orders and other warnings to take it easy, pending full recovery, but Greg finds her flat on her face and in tears as physical reality catches up with loony arrogance.—KGF Vissers
- Dharma returns home with Greg after being discharged from the hospital. Marci (Helen Greenberg) is heartbroken to see Dharma in a wheelchair. Greg wants everyone to leave Dharma alone and says that she needs rest as she has been through a major surgery. Dharma decides that her accident must be a manifestation of the universe shuffling her cosmic deck of cards so that she can help people-from the hospital, physical therapy, insurance company, etc.-whom she otherwise wouldn't have met.
Dharma loves giving help to others. She helps Pete (Joel Murray) hook up with her physical therapist Nancy (Anne Ramsay) (The therapist is skeptical about Pete and says that Pete is recently divorced and is hence probably on a rebound. The Therapist doesn't want to take Pete seriously, but Dharma insists that it will get serious between the 2 of them), gets the med equip delivery guy to come to terms with his baldness (Dharma says that baldness is a byproduct of extra testosterone, which is a sign of virility. She also adds that some women like bald men and all of them like men who don't pretend to be someone they are not), brings together an estranged mother-daughter duo in the hospital by getting them to move past their history of bitterness, she even starts a food delivery service to help homeless folks.
But Dharma is not nearly as fond of accepting help for herself, even when she's in a wheelchair. Greg keeps tells Dharma that she has been in a serious accident and that her body needs rest. She should not be taking the strain of so many things on her body all at once. Dharma is adamant that this is how she is going to get better. Greg gives up and leaves.
All her fix ups go bad. Jane (Shae D'Lyn) starts having sex with Pete, and the mother daughter reunion unravels and they are both back to hating each other. The mother was earlier dying, but now she is going to pull through and moving in with her favorite daughter, thanks to Dharma. Nancy finds out that Pete is having sex with his ex-girlfriend Jane and dumps him. Now Jane finds Pete unattractive and asks him to call her when he is seeing someone.
Dharma ignores Greg's plea for rest, she ends up alone, hurt & abandoned till Greg comes back & picks her up. Dharma is sad that she didn't help anybody at all and now everybody hates her.
Meanwhile, Greg deals with an insurance problem-the company has paid them twice by mistake but won't listen to his attempts to explain. Greg travels to the insurance office, but instead of canceling the check, they attempt to cash the check for him on the spot. A supervisor happens to walk by and overhears their conversation where Greg seems to be complaining. Greg tells the supervisor that the representative is not listening to his problem and unintentionally gets his case officer fired. Later they connect at a bar and Greg helps the case officer sue the Insurance company for wrongful termination.
