Storyline
When Greg and Dharma discover they have T-shirts from the same concert, six months before they met, they wonder if faith destined them to get hooked up even then, not remembering how it really went with their dates then, actually at first sight compatible fiancés, neither of which worked out. Pete and Ed were looking forward to his bachelor's party, but Greg's nurse Barbara who planned her wedding since age five expects him to change jobs when she gets one in DC. Dharma's ultra-left, politically obsessed newspaper reporter Gunther spoiled everything with a paranoid fear of commitment while being inseparable from his cahoot Toad, then changed his mind too late. Quotes
Gunther:
[
to Dharma]
I love you. Will you marry me?
Dharma Finklestein Montgomery:
What?
Meditation Leader:
He wants to marry you... Shh.
Dharma Finklestein Montgomery:
Oh wow. Gunther... No!
Gunther:
I thought... I thought that's what this was all about, 'n' you wanted, commitment. You wanted somebody that'd be there for you. Somebody you could build a family with. Let's do this. Maybe this lady can marry us.
Dharma Finklestein Montgomery:
No, no, no. Gunther. I can't marry you. There's someone else.
Gunther:
There's someone else?
Dharma Finklestein Montgomery:
[
sighs]
There's gotta be.
