- After Greg wins a major court case, he is urged to run for Congress by Edward and political consultant Andy Reynolds (James Eckhouse). A high-profile case like this has put Greg in the spotlight and this is Greg's chance to make a bid for himself. Andy says that best thing is that Greg has no skeletons in the closet, nothing that can embarrass him. Dharma is excited but Greg tells her that being a politician would mean Dharma would have to change her ways as well. Greg says that Dharma would have to give up her friends and even her parents. Dharma is supportive as Greg has wanted this all his life. Dharma says that she will buy a few bras to fit in. It's an idea that moves Dharma to consult Greg's mother for grooming advice, as a potential political wife. Kitty changes Dharma's entire wardrobe and teaches her to act and behave in a proper fashion in public appearances.
Larry starts getting panic attacks just thinking that Greg might become a congressman. Dharma says that Greg is going to do great things for the country. Larry wants to know where Greg stands on HealthCare. Dharma invites Larry and Abby to attend the party where Greg's candidature will be announced. She wants Larry and Abby to show their support.
At the night of the announcement, Dharma is all perfection and grace. She starts chit chatting with guests and gathering support for Greg among the invitees. Kitty asks Dharma to dial it back as she is only trained to nod her head, smile and blink when her eyes are dry. Larry and Abby are invited to the announcement. But Larry is not allowed to speak at all. But turns out he knows Andy that they end up spending time together. Kitty trains Dharma to talk about her charitable contributions in the right way. Dharma works for the homeless, but Kitty trains her to give a political spin to it and call it: beautifying the parks.
After worrying about Dharma fitting in with the political crowd, Greg embarrasses himself during his first public appearance by emerging from the washroom with his fly undone. But when Dharma tries to boost his confidence with a little back-seat loving', it becomes front-page news.
Greg is thrown into a black depression until he realizes that his popularity has soared. The people have never seen a politician who loves his own wife enough to make love to her in the car park. But Soon Greg realizes that the US people are more interested in his sexual preferences and choices rather than his stand on his policies. When Greg goes on radio shows, more questions are for Dharma and her sex life. People want to know why Greg was having sex in a foreign car. Greg is disgusted, but Dharma keeps him focused as she believes that Greg can do a lot of good.
He wants to quit, but Dharma won't let him; then his opponent makes a decisive sexual confession of his own. He declares himself gay.
