- Dharma and Greg argue about who saved who when they got married and decide to go Dutch.
- When Dharma notices how neighbor, law student Donald Ridgely, dreams about the lingerie models in her yoga class -Pete actually bribes her to be allowed to the same sessions-, she invites him to dinner. Greg gives his new protégé an internship at his office, where the other staff shamelessly abuses the gentle kid as their errand-boy. The real worry is Dharma, who decides college shouldn't be 'just' about study and arranges for Donald to join a fraternity, so he starts spending valuable study time on prank nonsense as 'new experiences'. When Greg protests the boy won't be 'rescued' like Dharma, she claims she doesn't need a provider, a claim they test by going Dutch in all domestic matters. She stinks at housework and earning, so she ditches back-pay yogis, gives classes every night and preys on her parents for dinner, even wants an allowance 'like baby Harry'.—KGF Vissers
- Dharma is teaching a yoga class to a bunch of Victoria Secret models when Donald comes by to meet her. Dharma invites Donald to join her for dinner. Donald says that he is having trouble at college. He has to study all the time and is having trouble sleeping. He is terrified that he will flunk out.
Dharma and Greg disagree about playing role model to their young college friend Donald (J.D. Walsh). Donald is stressed from college, and Dharma asks him to relax and have fun. While Greg says this is part of the college experience and asks him to push even harder. Greg says that he had a blinding headache behind his left eye for 2 semesters and that was the best time of his life. Greg argues that once Donald completes his studies, he would be able to look himself in the mirror and be proud of the fact that he became a lawyer. Greg offers Donald to intern at his office to see how law is practiced live.
Dharma says Donald can intern for Greg only if he is allowed to chase tail for one day a week. Donald wants to be hooked up with a Victoria Secret model from Dharma's class. Dharma takes Donald to join a fraternity and then bonfires late at night. Greg is mad at Dharma for keeping him up late at night. Greg says that partying all night will not help Donald get through school and that is not what is best for Donald. Dharma says that Donald is getting new experiences in life.
Greg implies that Dharma got a good life handed to her, but most people have to work hard for it. Dharma is offended at the insinuation that Greg somehow rescued Dharma from her squalid life. Dharma & Greg decide to experiment with independence for the first time since their marriage began. Dharma decides not to use anything that has been bought with Greg's money. Soon, Dharma is eating top ramen, while Greg is feasting on Sea Bass.
Dharma realizes she needs Greg's easy money. She starts cutting students from her class who don't bring in referrals. She starts eating out of Abby's fridge and asks her parents for an allowance. She has to work nights (She has to sign up to take extra yoga classes all nights to make ends meet) & pimp out Victoria secret models in her yoga class to Pete (for $100 a night). Greg cuts the lights on her side of the bed as Dharma has not paid her half of the electricity bill.
Greg realizes he is a loner when he has to have dinner with his parents. Pete was taking Dharma's night yoga class with the Victoria Secret models, Donald has his homework and Greg doesn't want to ask Marlene, who anyways hates him. Kitty pleads Greg to come and take over his father's company.
Greg returns home and finds Dharma on the couch eating Chinese takeout and with new shoes, presumably bought with the $100 from Pete. Dharma & Greg both come to their senses and decide that they both saved the other from their lives. Donald decides to move back in with his parents. They realize that in their fight, they completely forgot about Donald.
