It's a shame that the last scene of the previous season indicated that Sugarbakers would have another partner with the introduction of Vanessa. Allison has backed out and moved away oh, and Vanessa is not even mentioned. Julia is considering closing down the firm when she gets a call from a potential new client, B. J. (the fabulous Judith Ivey), and they all get drunk end up with them in a card game the B. J. wins., losing the business anyway. But B. J. has a surprise for them, and saves the day. Having already showed her comic talents in several movies and on stage, Ivey is wonderful, and quite different than either Delta Burke or Julia Duffy who along with Ivey are the only three women from the cast I got to see on stage. She didn't the credit that she deserved, while the real reason the show ended was because of time slot change.
