Where's the beef?

Warning: Spoilers
Does this show always have to be a crime-drama/mystery? I guess it mostly does, right? What else can we do with Johnny's talents but solve crimes. I don't know, maybe I'm just looking for more. And maybe I'm just waiting for the Stillson storyline to start up again. This episode's main point is that Johnnny may "lose himself," a new aspect to his personality. Over the years, some of Johnny's personality traits have stayed, like his Stillson obsession, while some have disappeared, like his heartfelt care for his grandfather's mine, his love of hockey, and his blackouts. So it will be interesting to see if this "crossing the line" personality remains with Mr. Smith over the long run, or even into the next episode. By the way, it is possible that his blackouts only happen when he's chilling with Future Guy, Wey, and that's why we haven't seen them happening. But that brings up my next kvetch, why did Future Guy disappear for so long? Just because Stillson did? It's weird and annoying, because isn't he supposed to come when Johny holds on to his cane? Interestingly, though, in this episode Stillson and Wey are both mentioned a lot more so their reappearance should be happening any episode now, I just didn't think it would take this long. However, if it's this new "crossing the line" personality that we need before we progress with Stillson then fine, it's important. I just hope this show wasn't filler before the final episode. Here's hoping we get a good go home show for the last installment of season three. I give this episode 7 points. If it would have happened earlier in the season I would have given it the 8 it deserves, but with two episodes to go before the season ends, I would think to bring back the Stillson story earlier. But that's why I'm not in charge, maybe I don't think well enough. However, I do think enough to know what I wanted to see, and rate it accordingly.
