You have already seen this scheme of a tenderfoot turning rough in Delmer Daves' COWBOY or Spencer Gordon Bennet's BOUNTY KILLER; the first film with Jack Lemmon as a common dude who nearly became a blood thirsty man, and the second feature starring Dan Duryea who turned to be a cold blooded killer. Or I could also speak of Alan Ladd in ONE FOOT IN HELL, when he also became the heavy of the film after the death of his wife because of the contempt of a little town. Back to this episode, as in the first one of the show, you have a tenderfoot finding a corpse with a gun at his belt. So, as you can guess, he takes the gun and becomes another man. But this episode suffers from a poor, lousy, ending for sissies. The kind of ending that you could find in the Ingall's adventures, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE.
