The cast thought that they would be coming back for another series. There are a couple of rumors as to why the show ends after two seasons, but one is repeated more than others. Mandy (Rube) didn't want to come back and Laura (Daisy) was already being shopped for another series, that ended up failing. See more »

When Rube visits his daughter's and wife's graves, it lists their birth years as 1922 and 1901, respectively. However, in a previous episode, Rosie's birth certificate states that her mother's age on her last birthday was 24, meaning that Rosie would have had to be born in 1925 or her mother would have been born in 1898.
