Storyline

Pressured by two parties, Joey ultimately must choose between her love for Dawson and her new feelings for Pacey who's planning a summer getaway by sailing down the coast on his new boat, 'True Love.' Meanwhile, Grams talks about love and regret with Jen over the departed Henry, and encourages her, with Jack and Andie tagging along, for an all-night drive to Ohio so that Jen can see Henry one last time. They then take Jack to Boston to see Ethan who tells him that he has returned to his gay boyfriend. Also, Mitch and Gail decide to get remarried and have the ceremony at their house with Dawson as the best man and Joey as the maid of honor. At the end, Dawson encourages Joey to make a move to follow her own path, and she runs off to join Pacey on his boat, leaving Dawson emotionally beaten and alone once again. Written by JessRM

Quotes

Jack: Then why me? Why do I have to have every moment in my life that should be easy and fun, be judged and scrutinized? I didn't ask for this role, y'know? I didn't ask or want to be this different. I didn't ask to be gay!
Joseph McPhee: No more than I asked for a gay son. But boy, am I glad I got one.

The One With The Wedding...
2 June 2016 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I like this episode. It's enjoyable, especially Dawson's "cry face". That is just priceless. Oh so many memes, and GIFs have come from that scene. I'm sure you've seen them, even if you haven't seen this episode.

In this episode, it's the re-wedding of Gale, and Mitch, and stuff is going down. Joey has to choose between Dawson, and Pacey, which she really struggles with. Meanwhile, Grams encourages Jen to follow her heart, so she goes to visit Henry. And at the end, Joey, and Pacey sail off into the sunset together, literally. They sail in a boat, at dusk, into the sunset.

Fun fact: Jack, and Ethan's kiss was the first male gay kiss aired on network TV in the United States.

Best part of this episode: Joey picking Pacey.

Worst part of this episode: Nothing in particular.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
