Storyline

On Dawson's 16th birthday, he, Pacey and Andie follow her therapist's advice and throw themselves into an unabashed night of recklessness where both Dawson and Andie get drunk at the jazz club and end up on stage singing the blues. Meanwhile at the Leery house, Joey is organizing a surprise party for Dawson. But the longer the guest of honor is a no-show, the more she is subject to surprises of her own. Abby and two of her girlfriends crash the party and taunt Jack over his recent 'coming-out.' Jen and Ty finally face up to their potentially irreconcilable differences in which they break up for good. Also, Gayle and Mitch come to decisions about how to raise their son in light of their divorce. Written by Anonymous

Quotes

Pacey: Dawson, what's up? I came over as soon as I got your message.
Dawson: I'm freaking out.
Pacey: Why? What's the problem?
Dawson: It's almost midnight.
Pacey: Yeah, it's your birthday. In a couple of minutes, you're gonna be 16. Congratulations, man. This is a major turning point.
Dawson: Yeah. And I'm eternally lost as a species on this planet.
Pacey: Oh, this is gonna be bad.
Dawson: I'm about to be 16 years old in a matter of minutes, and I'm still... me!

The One With Dawson's Sixteenth Birthday...
15 October 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I do not have much to say about this episode. It's mildly entertaining, it's worth watching, but it's not awesome, amazing, great, or freaking ridonkulous.

In this episode, Dawson turns sixteen, and he, Pacey, and Andie follow her therapists advice. They decide to throw themselves a night of recklessness, where Andie, and Dawson both get drunk. But everyone else is waiting for them at Dawson's birthday party, at the Leery house. And when they come home drunk, and Dawson says a few mean words, the party ends quickly.

Overall, I give this episode a 5 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Okay.
