After his cover is blown in an operation, Drake heads for "sunny Spain" to hide out for a while. With an apparent enemy arriving and Drake's friend telling the hotelier he intends to shoot Drake, it becomes a puzzle as to who can be trusted and who is really up to what. The first 1/3 or so of the episodes had Drake answering to a superior named Hobbs. Later, this character was dropped and Drake was shown working for a number of different individuals. One episode, "The Man with the Foot," saw Drake taking orders from an M-like character played by 'Bernard Lee', who played M in the Bond films. See more »
In the first few scenes after the first commercial break, rain is shown in several scenes. This rain is quite obviously superimposed, as it moves with the camera pan and is even shown on a scene from a dry day. See more »
Apart from showing Bernard Lee as Drake's boss, there isn't a lot to make this episode stand out. Sure, unlike the others they play a lot of this for laughs but regardless it's a relatively weak episode of "Secret Agent".
When the show begins, Drake's cover is blown and he decides to head to Spain for a rest. Unfortunately it's winter and pretty miserable. Additionally, a bumbling agent (too bumbling if you ask me) decides that Drake is up to no good and decides to investigate. It all ends with a ridiculous car chase, as a Mini Cooper forces a much larger Mercedes off the road and the two men soon engage in a silly fight on the ice. A bit of a letdown, that's for sure.
