And so it began... *may have spoilers*

I heard enough about J.R Ewing here and there to be interested and ready for DALLAS that fateful day it aired in my country. And I was taken in immediately by Bobby and Pamela Ewing- LOVED them immediately! Miss Ellie seemed like a reasonable woman and at the time I felt that she would be the first to warm to her unexpected daughter-in-law; especially since she once dated her father, Digger Barnes. Jock Ewing was terrifying but I was relieved when he disapproved of J.R's plan to break up Bobby's marriage. Pamela soon showed her brother-in-law and her ex boyfriend Ray that she was NOT a woman to be trifled with; I was so impressed at the way she turned the tables on Ray by just once simple threat, making J.R see he had definitely underestimated 'the new Mrs. Ewing.'
