The plot keeps evolving, turning and twisting and the show keeps surprising and pleasing me even though I have seen many of these episodes before. There are so many things happening that it's hard to keep up; you can't let your attention wander for a second but that's just the way I like it.
Every actor is in top form and totally believable. You've got to admire the acting right from the perfect ranting scenes, to the drunk bar talk to the very touching scene where Det. Leo Shannon (Donnelly Rhodes) learns of his wife's death. He brought tears to my eyes with his skillful yet understated facial expressions and because of his amazing delivery where the words caught in his throat, I had to watch it several times because I wanted to admire the great skill and beauty of his performance.
I hope I am not a lone voice in the dark when I say that this series was truly exceptional.
