Nice Episode
aimless-4610 July 2006
It is never clear if Trevor Hale (Jeremy Piven) is actually Cupid (Greek God Of Love) but he thinks he is and his claim keeps him in contact with psychologist Claire Allen (Paula Marshall). It is also never clear if they will become a couple although there are hints of a major chemistry between them. These ambiguities are what really make the show interesting.

In the "Bacheloretty Party" episode the ultra straight-laced Claire is put in charge of organizing a bachelorette party for her friend Joanne. All the old time girlfriends are in Chicago to attend the party and the wedding, including the class slut Heather.

Trevor is out of action with his first human cold but recovers in time to meet Joanne and her finance Ben. He recognizes Ben, having seen him a few days earlier with Heather-and he thought at the time that they were in love. Trevor's meddling leads Heather to reveal the affair to Joanne at the party. He explains to Claire that Heather and Ben have "Lighting Bolt Love". Claire and Heather have a nice scene on the subway where they relate things about their adolescence and Claire realizes that her impressions of Heather were more a product of her assumptions than Heather's actual behavior.

Meanwhile Champ has gotten the lead in a play but discovers that a nude scene will be required. He is uncomfortable with the idea so Trevor convinces him that performing at the party would be a good way to determine if he is ready for that kind of thing.

This was a clever and entertaining episode.

Then again, what do I know? I'm only a child.
