Crossroads ("A series based on the actual experiences of American clergymen, pastors, priests or rabbis, the men who give inspiration and guidance to people at the crossroads of life"), Season 2, Episode 9 (1956). 25 minutes. Directed by Nathan Juran. Vincent Price plays Reverend Alfred Price, a churchman devoted to helping others through the powers of prayer.

It's Price's third venture into the religious-oriented CROSSROADS series. This time he tries to reconcile an estranged mother with a heart condition and her pregnant daughter. It's nice to have Price play such a role. For a change he doesn't dabble in evil forces, although his character (which he portrays as a reasonable, practical man with a mission) is still having a relationship to the great beyond, as a man of God! I would like to see the other two episodes starring Price, "Cleanup" (1955, as Rev. Robert Russell) and "The Rebel" (1956), in which he plays a rabbi named Gershom Seixas! Priceless, without a doubt. His performance in "God's healing" is totally devoid of tongue-in-cheekiness (one of Price's fortes), in favor of a straight-faced approach. For Price fans it's worth a watch, since Vincent is the main character here, and appears on screen for most of the 25 minutes duration. His soft-spoken voice is always a joy to listen to. A curious entry into Price's filmography (this was made for TV).
