Funny bit with the quartet of crooks at the beginning called the Apostle gang or the Apostle posse, who call themselves Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Slade is using Holly's machine, with her permission, to solve crimes quite a bit, but Holly has decided enough is enough.
Then a government minister is murdered, so Slade goes behind HOlly's back and uses the machine.
Holly only learns it is Slade from the past when the missing watch piece, that Slade will need to return to the present, is found at the premises.
Slade is shot, tied up in an abandoned building about to explode and has to be rescued by Holly.
To make matters worse, Holly has deduced and learned the identity of the killer without time travel, much to Slade's surprise. Now Holly is livid that Slade is to never time travel again! Interesting as Slade traveled without Holly to solve the crime, but in the previous episode, Holly time traveled without telling Slade to save him out of concern.
Yes, Slade went against her wishes and it is her machine, but the paradox is intriguing.
