This is another father/son episode. In this episode, Samson is hurt after messing up on the job Jim gave him to man the radio. Jim yells at Samson and tells him he's not responsible. since John Herny had just given him and the other boys a story about proving their manhood, Samson decides to prove to his father that he really IS a man. So he gathers up provisions and sets out to do just that. There's only one problem: he takes tainted meat with him! Samson one's into all sorts of problems while out in the wilderness, and so so Jim and John Henry. A wild cat, big spiders, snakes, an accident, and other things put more hazzards in the way. Jim is just about to give up in finding Smson in time - especially not that John Henry is hurt! This is another find feature where we get to see a fatherly Chuck Connors. After his excellent father role on The Rifleman, how could we expect any less!
