Plot Summary

  • Tom and Eddie are hosting the initial meeting of their new father-son group, the Indian Pals. The sole volunteer for Indian Chief is Dr. Bob Lockwood, whose unofficial motto is, "it's my way or the wrong way". Tom and Eddie choose as their Indian names Big Golden Arrow and Little Golden Arrow. Unfortunately so do Dr. Lockwood and Danny Lockwood. Also unfortunately, Tom and Eddie, due to lack of time, get Tina to make their name badges, a task that was supposed to foster further the father-son bonding. Not only do they not do that, but the badges Tina makes for them would be considered more Broadway than Indian. Their next week's task is to learn a rain dance and to make a head dress. Again, due to lack of time, Tom ends up making the head dresses without Eddie, much to Eddie's dismay. When Bob Lockwood comes over and sees that Tom is making the head dresses on is own, he chastises Tom for losing the meaning of Indian Pals. Norman comes to Tom's defense, but Tom comes to the realization that Dr. Lockwood is actually right. Tom decides to set aside time when he and Eddie can finish the head dresses together.
