- Patrick has a dream about rescuing Sally from a spider in her apartment. He immediately awakens and rushes to her apartment in order to save her, only to realize that he dreamt the whole thing. The next day, both Patrick and Sally separately recount to their friends the first time they met; each has quite a different remembrance of the encounter. Sally has an epiphany as to why she's nicknamed Patrick, "the Spiderman." Inevitably, they both come to the realization that they are an intricately integral part of each others lives and have changed each other for the better, making them much more likely to be an eventually happy couple than they want to admit to their friends, to each other, or to themselves.
