The Cosby Show always made it a point that a family needs to look back on their past. This episode was about retrieving a part of the family's heritage. It also showed the value of some artists even after their passing, even if the artist was a minority in his day, such as the African-American artist Ellis Wilson who painted the portrait "The Funeral Procession" among others.
