Into the Underworld
21 July 2014 | by (Hamburg, Germany) – See all my reviews

At the beginning, Conan decides they have to get off the horses and walk, because the ground is too steep, he says. One minute later, though, a whole army of riders attacks them. That doesn't make any sense, unless the script wanted Conan and his buddies to walk, so they could not ride away from their pursuers, but instead they would need to hide in a cave. And in that cave, the adventure of this episode begins: fighting the beast-men of the mountains! Conan meets the slaves of the beast-men who live in darkness and desperation, and he has a great new idea nobody has thought of before: fight to be free! Doesn't work that well against the army of beast-men, though, and then Conan has to face an even bigger monster in the heart of the underworld...

Darkness, skulls, monsters – this episode delivers. But watch out for a funny moment around minute 40, when you see the boss of the beast-men strike down 2 of his cowardly warriors: the spear is bent into an angle, obviously no solid steel at all.
