The flashback episode
27 July 2014 | by (Hamburg, Germany) – See all my reviews

Conan and his friends are having a great time in a tavern (Karella is teasing Otli), when suddenly a hidden assassin fires a poisoned arrow at Conan. Conan needs the antidote to survive, but it can only be made from leaves of the same plant that the poison was made from. Karella, Zzeben and Bayu go searching, while Conan is already seeing his past life before his eyes. His companions also remember the good times they had with Conan. Of course, this means we get to see flashbacks from the episodes of season 1, this minimizes the budget for the episode. The tavern is surrounded by enemies while the three are away. Conan is guarded well by Otli, and Karella must make a plan how to bring the antidote to Conan. Even if the basic idea with the poisoned arrow is good, because it's a race against time to save Conan, all those flashbacks are annoying. My least favorite episode in the whole season.
