This plot is about a woman found dead in the snow in 1995, apparently dead from a blow on the head which did not kill her since exposure to sixteen degree weather is the reason. Ten years later, in 2005, the woman's sister comes to the police and questions the accidental verdict that Sloane, the dead woman, was habitual drunk and her death was listed as as accidental. During one scene, where the drunk woman is being hazed by some Frat boys, a woman stops the hazing hazing by announcing she is a police officer. In fact, she shows a badge and says "LAPD," (Los Angeles Police Department). This is later confirmed in the current inquiry . But it doesn't tell us why an LAPD cop is in Philadelphia. Was this a goof? Should she have said "PPD"? (Philadelphia Police Department? The policewoman explains that Sloane was an informer working for her in her job as the barmaid for a man who sells drugs, and has a dog who is trained for dog-fighting. The plot was very good, with enough suitable subjects for suspicion, the despairing ex-husband, his girlfriend who is at the scene, the Frat boys who have a nasty set up which enables them to lure drunk women to their "House" to have sex while others are able to hide and watch, the AA rescuer who tries to get Sloane to stop drinking, and the bar owner who has good reason to keep her quiet Certainly This enough to find it hard to guess the culprit. The script was good, and very human.
