At one point during the shooting of this live broadcast in a scene with Melville Cooper, star Edward G. Robinson suddenly forgot his lines. Cooper managed to get him back on track soon afterward, but since this was a live broadcast there was a strict time schedule and no retakes, so the last few minutes of the episode--a murder mystery--didn't make it on the air, and the audience never found out who the killer was.
