Storyline

While stopping to rest in the Desolation Mountains, Cheyenne hears a man screaming for help. As he maneuvers to find the source he sees a man scrambling across the top of the rocks. The man falls to his death after something attacks him. Cheyenne finds the body badly smashed. He buries it and takes a bag of items the man was carrying. As he comes out of the mountains to a nearly deserted town, he is met by four men and Carol Dana looking for her father Dr. Clark Dana. The items belong to her father but the man killed was his guide. Cheyenne offers to take them to the body. Three of the men go with him while Ernie Riggins stays behind with Carol. Carol and Ernie take shelter that evening in a deserted shack during a rain storm. They are joined by Mark Kendall who was hired by a mining company to find what is haunting the mountains. When they join Cheyenne, Cheyenne finds himself as bait for the mysterious Satonka. Written by Anonymous
