Storyline

Cheyenne is a partner in a stage line with Chip and Alice Claney in Lead City. Cheyenne and Chip were scouts together years before. Cheyenne has decided it is time to move in part because he is coming between Chip and Alice as she becomes disenchanted with Chip's drinking. After making his last run, Cheyenne is asked by Alice to get Chip from the saloon to make the next stage run to Mountain City to deliver the mail. Chip is drunk saying he has a new partner King Forest with whom he will make a fortune. Alice begs Cheyenne to take her with him. Chip hears her after awakening. After telling Cheyenne off, he goes outside where a shot is heard. Chip is found shot. Cheyenne returns to the depot finding the office ransacked and his rifle missing. The sheriff takes Cheyenne in but Forest and Garth swear he was seen elsewhere at the time of the shooting. Forest and Garth have a business deal for Cheyenne as he has the same information that Chip had - the location of a landslide where a man ... Written by Anonymous
