Cheyenne arrives in the small town Emmetville where he was invited by his friend Dan Marchison from the Arizona Rangers to be the best man at his wedding. Upon arriving he finds Dan's business boarded up and padlocked by the Sheriff. Almost immediately he finds a gun in his ribs as a young deputy and the Sheriff ask him his business. After telling them, he is invited to leave town. Instead he decides to take a room at the hotel where the owner refuses him a room after learning why he is there until Mayor Angus Emmett tells her to give him a room and invites him to his house. His daughter Jane is the girl Dan was to marry but Angus says the story is a fabrication. Cheyenne meets her that evening and her story confirms that told by Angus. Later that night the same girl shows up at Cheyenne's room asking him to meet her the next morning outside town. Cheyenne arrives to find a dead girl at the bottom of a cliff and himself arrested for her murder and no one to help him. Written by Anonymous
