Gareth thinks a personal life doesn't go well with a life as cook. He'd prefer to work on his pancakes instead of visiting their old friends Joe and Lesley as Janice really would like. Gareth also prefers that his staff don't have private lives either. Bringing them into the kitchen is certainly out of the question. That proofs difficult, the lunch is overbooked and Gareth finds his kitchen rather deserted. Crispin is away helping with the girlfriends his father overbooked, Donald is visiting his father who has been jailed for GBH. On top of that Debra is in tears, not because she's chopping onions, but because she feels heartbroken. This is going to be a very busy day for Gareth. Written by

People have offered me money, sexual favors, a Blue Peter badge, and, on one memorable occasion, a place at the lowest reaches of the New Year's Honors list just for a job in this kitchen.
