- Lilith goes into labor during the Cheers' 100th year anniversary celebration.
- Rebecca discovers that it is the bar's 100th anniversary and plans a centennial type celebration, which is to include the Mayor of Boston, Raymond L. Flynn. The festivities don't end up being what she anticipates. First, she is the only one to dress in gay nineties costume. Second, the Mayor's office apprehends the ever over ambitious American, Cliff Clavin. Third, Mr. Weaver, a 106 year old man who Rebecca finds that lived in the neighborhood when the bar opened and who she invites to the festivities as a special guest, is a lecherous dirty old man hitting on all the women in the bar. Fourth, the barbershop quartet that Rebecca hires annoys all the bar regulars, especially Sam. And fifth, the two week overdue Lilith goes into labor. At the hospital, Lilith finds out that it is false labor. As Lilith has to wait yet a little longer for junior Crane to arrive, Frasier, with Sam in tow, volunteers to assist another patient in the hospital, not realizing that there's another patient who may need him more.—Huggo
- Rebecca announces to the bar that the opening of Cheers' 100th anniversary is coming up. Though the sign outside the bar gives the establishment date as 1895, Sam tells everyone that when he bought the bar that he didn't really know the date and made one up. Rebecca wants to throw a party that will reflect the late 1800s including clothing, music and rolling back the price of beer to 5 cents a glass, a promotion that pleases Norm Peterson. Rebecca also sent Woody to the library to research the tavern and the neighborhood -- Woody returns with a wealth of information that shows that the business above Cheers was actually a brothel for sailors. Rebecca is undeterred and also says she's phoned the Boston mayor's office to have the mayor himself come to the celebration and have Cheers declared a city landmark.
On the day of the celebration, the bar is packed with customers. Rebecca arrives in a Victorian dress of the late 1800s but is disappointed to find that no one else has dressed up for the occasion. The barbershop quartet she'd hired is a continual annoyance to everyone, especially Sam. Frasier and Lilith Crane arrive to the party -- Frasier is impatient that their child hasn't been born yet and is two weeks overdue. One of Rebecca's guests arrives, a 106-year-old man named Mr Weaver, who confirmed that the bar had opened in 1889. Weaver is also a horny old goat-type, who pinches Rebecca and Carla a few times. While Carla shows Weaver the bar's billiards room, Boston's mayor, Raymond Flynn, arrives. Cliff Clavin introduces himself to the mayor (saying he writes Flynn's office at least once a week) prompting the mayor's staff to have Cliff arrested for harassment. Unfazed, Rebecca suggests the mayor present her with the landmark plaque with TV cameras rolling. Just then, Carla rushes out of the pool room saying that Mr Weaver collapsed on the pool table. Lilith volunteers to examine him. Weaver later admits he faked a heart attack to get women to lean over him. Suddenly, Lilith says she's just gone into labor. While Frasier runs out to get his car ready, Woody helps Lilith with her Lamaze exercises, and ends up hyperventilating himself. Lilith is taken to the hospital by Frasier and Sam.
At the hospital, Frasier and Sam wait with Lilith for the doctor. Lilith's contractions have virtually stopped. Sam befriends the woman, Gail, sharing the room with Lilith, whose own contractions have increased. Gail's husband is a merchant marine who couldn't make it to the hospital, so Sam and Frasier accompany Gail to her delivery. Just after they leave, Lilith's doctor comes in. Lilith apologizes for being anxious and looks to the doctor for some form of reassurance and comfort. The doctor tells her very shortly she experienced false labor and to go home.
Frasier and Sam return with Gail a few hours later, helping her settle into her bed. Frasier glances over at Lilith and sees her with a baby. She'd hailed a taxi to leave and unexpectedly gave birth to their son in the back seat. Frasier is humbled by the sight of his newborn son, but also feels guilty for missing the birth. Sam coos over the infant and leaves almost immediately with Gail's attractive blonde nurse.
Sam returns to the bar to find Norm in his trademark stool. Sam shows Norm pictures from the hospital: they are mostly of the blonde nurse, with one picture showing a fuzzy image of the new baby. Sam asks why the celebration broke up: according to Norm, Rebecca tore the tape out of one of the camera tech's equipment. Sam asks if everyone has left and suddenly the barbershop quartet begins singing in the pool room. Sam casually strolls in and chokes them.
