Did You Know?

The opening scene where Tim Cunningham's character is nervous about working as a janitor in a biology lab is the same script scene used from "Coach's Daughter", though they were both filmed at different times during production (i.e. Rhea Perlman is not pregnant in the earlier episode, where she is pregnant in Show Down: Part 2.) The same clip was shown again in the 200th Episode Special. See more »

Diane Chambers: Coach, do you think I'm a smart person?
Ernie 'Coach' Pantusso: You're the smartest person I ever met.
Diane Chambers: Well I, Diane Chambers, bred and educated to walk with kings, once offered a full scholarship at the Sorbonne, have allowed myself to become attracted to a six foot three inch bubble gum card.
Ernie 'Coach' Pantusso: Well gee, I think I can help you with the sore buns, Diane, but the rest of what you say is all over my head.

Show Down: Part 2 (#1.22)
6 April 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Diane is dating Sam's brother, but the problem is that she is more attracted to Sam. She comes over to say good bye and have the last attempt to have Sam admit his feelings. But he is refusing. Still the conversation they have in the back room leads to them both sharing their feelings and a great final scene kiss.

Well, they did it greatly. The whole scene where they play around the bush trying to make the other one confess is greatly written and performed. And it has some great lines such as "Do you know what it feels like to be attracted to somebody who makes you sick?". Besides that the scene when Sam opens the door and the whole bar is leaning outside listening was great.
