85-year old WWI war veteran Buzz Crowder returns to Cheers to meet with surviving members of his squad, the 22nd Brigade. They meet every 10 years at Cheers to reminisce about old times. As the evening progresses, a lonely Buzz realizes that the number of survivors is dwindling. Another new patron to the bar, Kevin, who is a virgin to the world of booze and debauchery, embarks on his first, and last, wild night before heading into the monkhood. Meanwhile, Diane keeps a collection of memorable quotes that she hears in the bar - "snippets of Americana" as she calls them. Sam becomes irked as one by one, all the regulars, without even trying, make it into Diane's quote book except him, who has been spitting out quotes all night with great effort. Written by
