Everyone Imitates Art (#5.10)

Warning: Spoilers
Diane submits her poetry to a magazine and is rejected. She doesn't want to believe that it is a rejection letter so Sam wants to prove it to her and submits poetry too. Only his is published. Diane is crushed but she is sure he plagiarized and keeps on looking for it. Turns out it was one of her poems that she wrote him in a letter, which as it seems he had saved.

A fun story. Is it possible for somebody not to recognize their own poem? I don't think so, but it was fun anyways.

Although it had a sad moment too, the time Diane thinks that she will never be anything but a waitress really got to me

Diane is excited when she gets a rejection letter from a new literary journal. She thinks it means they at least had enough interest to write back to her. Sam is unimpressed and decides he will write a poem and will get the same negative reply. But, wonder of wonder, he is published. Diane goes into deep depression and is convinced that our bartender plagiarized the poem. The result brings about more craziness.

Warning: Spoilers
It's brief, but I found it enjoyable. It's overdone for a laugh and the fact it all takes place at the bar, also unrealistic and anything that wasn't part of the main plot rather weak. However, Shelley Long's just splendid.
