Coach is attracted to Nina, a young woman who has just moved into his building. Excited, he tells Diane of Nina, swearing her to secrecy if only because of his and Nina's age difference. Nina shows up at the bar to wait for the heat to be turned on in her apartment. Diane has asked Sam not to hit on Nina, although she doesn't tell him the reason in keeping Coach's confidence. This request only intrigues Sam more, and he tries repeatedly to get Nina to go out with him. Meanwhile, Diane urges Coach to pursue Nina, thinking that Nina is indeed interested in him. Coach ends up using an old and painful trick from his baseball days to try and get the girl. Elsewhere in the bar, the pipes have backed up in the men's room, forcing the patrons to use the facilities up at Melville's. Written by

The conversations between Sam and Nina became the basis of a memorable part of "Superstar Television," an attraction/show that ran from May 1, 1989 to September 26, 1998, at the Disney-MGM Studios theme park (*now called Disney's Hollywood Studios) at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, A park guest was chosen to play the role of Nina and have the "conversation" with Sam. Using video special effects, the park guest actually appeared on the theater's in-house TVs to be talking to Sam. While Sam and the others appeared via special effects, the park guest sat on-stage at a real scale model of the Cheers bar, which was built by Disney as an exact, but smaller, replica. See more
Throughout the series, the women's restroom at Cheers is always the first door on the left (when entering the hallway from the front), while the men's is the second. They are reversed in this episode. See more
