Such plans they have
16 February 2016 | by See all my reviews

Although Doug McClure did look like he was having a good time imitating Burt Lancaster his co-star in The Unforgiven sad to say this was a most inferior Checkmate story.

It's all about hash house slinger Dorothy Malone who marries a rich guy John Dehner and then brings along her bad boy boyfriend Ed Nelson along to his fishing resort as a hired hand. Ain't that all cozy.

Then an old running buddy of Nelson's breaks jail and seeks refuge at the resort. But the arrival of first Sebastian Cabot for a fishing trip and later McClure for support when things start to heat up put a crimp in everyone's plans. And they've got such plans for Dehner.

For such a smart guy Dehner acts really dumb. But that is typical for the story. A whole lot of good players looking very foolish.
