Storyline

A girl shows up at Corey's apartment, claiming that she is running from someone who is trying to kill her. However, the detectives all find that nothing she has said checks out, including her numerous aliases, and that she's actually an heiress running from a controlling grandmother. Someone's out to get me
21 February 2015 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

The Checkmate Detective Agency is all at sea with this one. Anna Maria Alberghetti requests their services in a most unusual fashion, by invading that apartment living quarters/office that the agency has and interrupting Anthony George who is all tuckered out and wants a night's sleep more than anything else. We've all had those days.

George's first instinct is to think this is one of Doug McClure's girlfriends a not unreasonable assumption. McClure is always ready to come to a young girl's aid, but she's not anyone he knows.

Turns out she's a flaky heiress with a penchant for running away and getting detective agencies to help her escape because she's witnessed a crime and people are after her. Only this time she's witnessed something and someone does want her shut up.

Alberghetti was always a winsome waif during her career and none more so here. Fans of her's should enjoy this.
