Some careful research

Escaped criminal Robert Vaughn did some careful research on his victims here. Part and parcel of his plan is that he and Robert Clarke look enough alike to use Clarke's passport to flee the country and the gas chamber. Step one is to lure Clarke away from his San Francisco stopover on the way to Hong Kong where he and bride Inger Stevens are on the way to reside. But before step two can be accomplished, Inger calls in the Checkmate Agency for help.

Good thing she called them because Vaughn then moves in and impersonates Clarke. But our guys suspect something is up and a trap is laid using Doug McClure as the same bait that Clarke was lured with in the first place. By the way the San Francisco Police would have had to wait I believe 48 hours to act on a missing person and Vaughn's foul schemes would have worked at this point.

Nice episode, see how Checkmate Agency settles accounts her.
