Storyline

When Leo drags Piper to a soothsayer-gardener for magical marriage counseling, they are body-swapped. An attack from demon Vaklav, a demon photographer who traps people into a hell collage trough his camera, brings white lighter Sam Wilder on the trace of his charge and designated successor J.D. Williams, who disappeared 50 years ago and didn't age. Sam appeals to his unsympathetic biological daughter Paige to help J.D., who meanwhile is 'minded' by Billie Jenkins, while agent Murphy helps investigating. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Billie Jenkins: I'm pretty much caught up here, but I charge ten bucks an hour to babysit.
Sam Wilder: Babysit?
Billie Jenkins: Yeah. That's what I'm doing here, right? It's not exactly a demon hunt, but in for a penny, in for a pound, huh?
Sam Wilder: Okay, look. I need to find Paige. I need you to look after J.D. Do *not* let him out of the house. If he finds out what year it is, he'll go crazy.
Billie Jenkins: Okay, fine. I'll just cast a spell on him.
Sam Wilder: No! No spells. He doesn't know anything about magic, and he can't, either. He's had more than enough magic used...

The One Where People Are Trapped In A Photo...
28 March 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I love this episode. I just love it. It's so interesting and such a good idea for an episode. It's one of my favorite episodes from Season 8.

In this episode, a demon is keeping people trapped in a photo. Someone escapes and Sam, Paige's whitelighter father, goes to the sisters to help him. This man was on his way to becoming a future whitelighter, but went missing in 1955, fifty years ago, as of this episode. They find him and take him back to the manor to look after him. J.D., the man, is confused about everything he sees. Billie is assigned to take care of him, but then he knocks her out and runs away. He finds out that his parents are dead, which was depressing, but expected. And when he finds out that people are in danger because of him, he finds the photographer demon, and sacrifices himself, to save everyone else.

Overall, I give this episode a 9 out of 10.
