Goofs

In the future flashback Chris has the hairstyle he has currently in the series yet his hair was short when he came back at the end of season 5. Also his clothes are different than the ones he was wearing when he arrived. The episode implies he arrived in the present immediately giving him no time or reason to change clothes or cut his hair. Quotes

Wyatt Halliwell: You know, if anyone else tried what you tried, I'd kill them on the spot. But you... I've forgiven Bianca, I can forgive you too. If you promise never to cross me again.
Chris: I think you know me better than that.
Wyatt Halliwell: [to Bianca] I thought you said you could talk some sense into him.
Chris: Leave her out of this.
Wyatt Halliwell: [begins crushing Chris's neck with his powers] Pardon me?

Back to the future

It is time for some explanations. Although we know that Chris is not trustworthy, the past episodes have shown him as a basically good character, so we now want to know the why behind all his actions. This episode partially fills in the blanks, as for once it adopts Chris's point of view, jumping from his past (in the future) to his present (in the present and the future). I am not certain that the "big revelation" really works, since the dialog has been blatantly not naming names, but well, it still provides a very good development for the season.

There are some huge flaws in the plot, though. First : did there HAVE to be flying cars in that future ? It's the most cliché-ed anticipation thing ever, and besides, this is only supposed to happen twenty-two years from now ! Second : while the side-plot with the inhibition spell does prompt some changes and provides some nice scenes(just watch Leo's wry smile when he throws that potion at Piper ! bet he's wanted to do that for years !) it seems very inconsistent with the gravity of Chris's situation. And third : what about Bianca ? She had a lot of potential as a character, but she's never been mentioned and never will be again. So instead of giving depth to Chris's character, she merely is a cheap and artificial device to make us sorry for him. The plot should rather have concentrated on Chris's relationship with Wyatt, even at the expense of the last-minute twist.
