Storyline
While the Sisters and Leo are still pondering P-names for the newborn, he proves to have an effective protective force shield during a first demonic attack. The Elders refuse to take care of him, although there's clearly a Hawker Demon at work, to sell him to order placed by a Crone on an evil magic market. At the newspaper, Phoebe was just showing baby pictures when the surprisingly young new owner arrives, Jason Dean, who clearly digs Phoebe both personally and professionally, but objects to her recent baby-centric columns. Paige masquerades as a hawker to set a trap at the evil market, alas on her own, and gets caught by two hawkers, who steal her powers and during Phoebe and Piper's rescue mission attack in the mansion, with a surprise outcome... Quotes
Piper Halliwell:
Oh, don't be sorry, Paige. You were brave, and you inspired me to fight and you made the world a safer place for our baby. Which is why I would like to give the baby the middle name of Matthew in honor of his super-protective Aunt Paige.
Phoebe Halliwell:
I think that's a great idea.
Leo Wyatt:
What do you think?
Leo Wyatt:
Yeah.
Paige Matthews:
Thanks.
Piper Halliwell:
And I also have an idea for his first name. Wyatt, in honor of his very protective daddy.
Leo Wyatt:
Really? It doesn't start with a "P."
Piper Halliwell:
Eh, so we break the tradition.

I find it rather hard to give a mark to this episode. The main plot is rather average. The villains are not frightening in the least and they are easily destroyed, after which the danger seems to just disappear on its own. And guess what, we get to meet a seer who senses trouble to come... wait a sec, hasn't that been done in season 3, 4 and I don't know how many single episodes ?
BUT. But the episode is brimming full of little details and significant instants that make it feel real and rich. Learning the name that Piper had initially chosen for her daughter. Watching Paige's disappointment that she is not listed in the family tree, and her jaw-dropping "dissatisfied customer" act. The whole Market setting, which adds depth to the magical world. The real explanation for why the alarm keeps ringing, which is so cute and realistic. The crone and the parasites. Even Phoebe's new crush is somewhat interesting, which was not a given after Cole.
As many little details that are not particularly dwelt on and are not necessarily important for the plot, but they contribute to making this episode feel rich and lifelike. And Piper's final choice for the baby's name is beautiful in itself, as it really brings in the "loose" members of the family, making the newborn a symbol of their union.
