Storyline

In Halloween, while two Grimlocks attack Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Darryl and Leo at the Halliwell sisters' home, the sisters are sucked into a time portal created by The Powers That Be to Virginia in 1670. Once there, the sisters are assigned by a group of good witches to rescue the pregnant Charlotte and her unborn baby from the claws of the evil Ruth and Cole, and bring the mother and the baby back to the good. Without their powers and chased by witch hunters, the sisters save and disclose the identity of the baby. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Trivia

When the sisters were discussing their costumes and decorations, Phoebe picked up a witch riding a broom through an orange moon. When she first does this the witches head is to her right, audiences left, they then cut to Piper and then back to Phoebe and this is reversed. In the pilot Piper teases her about wearing a conical hat and flying around on a broomstick. In this story, she does all of that. See more »

Goofs

Towards the end right after Darryl sends the kids away, the camera pans to living room and shows the unbroken coffee table. It was broken at the beginning of the episode when Prue threw one of the grimlocks. Then when the Grimlocks throw Darryl the coffee table is already broken again. See more »

A Halloween Classic
20 September 2006 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

Since this was the only episode of the whole series with the Halloween plot, makes this episode a classic, the Halloween episode was about two warlocks that wanted to killed the charmed ones (what else is new?) , when they were about to be killed, a circle of time (or something like that) sucked the sisters in, making them go back in past, in the 1800's era, where her grand-grand-grand mother was about to birth to their grand-grand mother Melinda Warren, which was introduced back in season 1.

I hope this can be one of your favorites episodes, Remember Phoebe flying and laughing as a witch in the old broom, the FX, weren't that good, but anyway was good.

Happy Halloween!
