The Angels suspect that a prestigious plastic surgeon is about to perform a face-changing operation on a wanted criminal. Tiffany goes undercover as a nurse in his clinic, while Bosley enters the clinic as a patient (with Kris as his demanding wife!). An average "Charlie's Angels" episode, with little action (a car explosion at the start, a elbow to the kidney at the end), uplifted by a well-selected guest cast: the smooth Louis Jourdan as the surgeon, and especially Joanna Pettet as his wicked and deadly girlfriend who's manipulating him. Oh yes, there's Tab Hunter too, but he doesn't get to do much, in fact he spends more than half the episode with his face wrapped in bandages. Best line: "This may be the first operation where the patient lives and the doctor dies!" *** out of 4.

Tiffany As A Nurse

When a congressional witness is found dead, Kelly,Kris and Tiffany investigate a plastic surgeon's association with a racketeer whom they learn wants surgery to change his identity in Nips And Tucks.

Renowned surgeon Paul Redmont receives a phone call from his mistress, Barbara Brown, advising him to "lose" the file of former patient Tom Ford. Moments later, Ford is killed by a car bomb. Ford was a crooked accountant who had recently agreed to testify before a committee headed by Sen. Thompson. The senator asks the Kelly,Kris and Tiffany to investigate. They discover that Bill Maddox, an unscrupulous financier, has returned to the country under an assumed name and plans to undergo plastic surgery at Dr. Redmont's clinic. Tiffany poses as a nurse at a plastic surgeon's clinic after receiving a tip that a wanted convict has checked in to get a new face.Kelly works on the case from the outside, while Bosley checks into the clinic for a consultation, and Kris poses as his vain, socialite wife.

Tiffany befriends Julie, a young woman who is terrified that her operation did not remove the scar from her face. Bosley checks in as a potential patient, with Kris as his demanding high-society wife. Barbara tries to goad Paul into performing the surgery on Maddox by claiming that he murdered Ford and has threatened her. She had apparently convinced him to operate on Ford years earlier by claiming that he had harmed her during her modeling days and would do so again unless Paul cooperated.

This is another episode that has Tiffany as the central character. Many of her fans would surely delight in it considering that the show's writers had to write her out after the season. In it,we see her as someone as being smart, competent, compassionate, funny and even tough just like her replacement,Julie Rogers next season especially when he went undercover as a Nurse.Too bad that this is the first and last season we get to see Shelley Hack in Charlie's Angels.Besides Tiffany,we also get a preview of the attitude towards plastic surgery in the years to come.
