Kris Goes To Prison
25 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When a young woman who is supposed to be in prison is found dead at the scene of a robbery,Kelly,Kris and Tiffany are called in by Charlie to investigate.

Four women pull off a robbery at a security company, and one of them is shot to death during the escape. She was a prison inmate involved in a work furlough program, and had just a short time left on her sentence. Her father adamantly declares that Amy could not have willingly taken part in the robbery. She was sentenced to prison for writing bad checks after her ex-husband refused to send child support, and has never shown any tendency toward violence. He does not understand what connection she could have to the security company, as she was a supermarket checker. He asks Charlie's private investigators to prove that his daughter was coerced.Kris goes undercover in a prison to investigate a death of an inmate in one of her most taxing cases. She discovers a robbery ring while Kelly and Tiffany pose as nuns to pass on some key information.

The writers of Charlie's Angels obviously loved recycling themes. It's time for a return prison stint. An Angel has to go to prison. Actually, it didn't have to be as all three were willing to do it. But then Kris says it has to be her. So she is sent to prison to investigate unlike when all three Angels - Jill, Kelly, and Sabrina - went into prison in Angels In Chains back in the first season.Although someone has to go through stereotypical scare tactics and abuse new inmates must endure,it manages to be good like Chains due to the fact that Cheryl Ladd plays Kris really well as a prisoner. It's definitely one of her better performances in the show. In addition to that, Kelly and Tiffany playing as nuns is pretty amusing.
