Atypical Charlie's Angels Episode
29 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

An aspiring singer hires Sabrina,Kelly and Kris to find her philandering husband who has disappeared. Also, jewel thieves hid a fortune of jewels in his truck cargo. The thieves kidnapped her husband to get the jewels back. Now Kelly must step in for the singer, and when she's kidnapped as well, the Sabrina and Kris must track her before her cover is blown in Angels on the Run.

A car gets sideswiped at a red light. Panicked by the presence of the police, one of the passengers gets out and hides a package in the back of a dump truck. The dump truck driver later goes to a small club to watch his wife, Sue, make her singing debut. Two men show up and kidnap him. A worried Sue asks the Townsend Agency to help find Larry, as he hasn't been in contact with any friends or relatives. The kidnappers come to Sue's apartment and try to break in; they see Kelly strumming a guitar and mistake her for Sue. Sabrina and Kris talk with one of Larry's co-workers and learn that he was having affairs with most of his female clients. Sabrina visits the farm of Nancy Coleman, a paramour of Larry's who has a very dangerous husband. Nancy denies that her husband had anything to do with Larry's disappearance. She takes offense to Sabrina's questions and tries to run her over with a tractor. Kris talks with Rosie, the diner proprietor whom Larry was coming to see when the car accident occurred. The owner of a nearby dress shop reports seeing the package dropped into the truck. Just before Kelly's singing debut, two other men hit Bosley over the head and kidnap Kelly from backstage. She convinces Larry to play along and pretend that she is his wife. They refuse to share the location of the package unless the kidnappers take them along. The foursome reveals that it pulled off a heist for five million dollars in diamonds.

It's a solid episode starting when a package is thrown into the back of a dump truck. Note this episode has actual hard detective work performed by the Angels particularly Sabrina and Kris.In addition to that,we get the plot unfolding until the end when everything was revealed which is atypical of most Charlie's Angels episode where everything is revealed halfway into the episode. In summary, this is one of the better episodes as we get not to know everything until the conclusion.
