The Start Of The Kris Munroe Myth
30 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When a famous stage actress is electrocuted at an exclusive women's spa, Sabrina,Kelly and Kris are hired to capture the murderer and find a missing manuscript in Angels In Springtime.

Acclaimed actress Eve Le Deux is electrocuted in a hot tub at a women's only spa, supposedly because of bad wiring. Her niece suspects foul play, noting that Eve's memoirs were not found among her personal effects. Sabrina and Kris join the facility's staff; and receive a less than warm welcome from their new boss, Ingrid. Kelly arrives as a guest, and notes that her room is bugged and equipped with a peephole. Actress Norma Powers, a charming but cantankerous guest who was one of Eve's closest friends, warns Kris that Ingrid has given away her true identity. When he is unable to get a message to Sabrina, Bosley poses as an electrician to gain entry to the spa. He informs her that Zora has threatened and bribed staff member Amy O'Toole, the last person to see Eve alive, to get her to keep quiet about what she may have seen. The doctor tries to hypnotize Kelly to get her to reveal information about possible scandals in her life. When she attempts to give her an injection of truth serum, Kelly puts her in a headlock. The doctor reveals that she and Zora have been blackmailing the guests. However, Eve was not among their victims. Norma actually murdered Eve to prevent her from publishing incriminating facts about her, as she couldn't handle the shame. She pays Zora to track down the manuscript.

This marks the moment when the decision of the show's writers evidently got made that Kris Munroe has become the most interesting Angel for the duration of the show. The reason is the fact that she will become the Angel most likely to be injured or drugged or sexually threatened or kidnapped or imprisoned or emotionally scarred and otherwise kept in peril most of the stories of the episodes to come. Also,we get to see a lot of action and tension when these things happen for Kris is a fighter and she has the all the confidence in the world to overcome her opponents and the pressures of being at peril.Kudos to Cheryl Ladd for being a great when these events occur for they truly increase the enjoyment of the viewers and the show's loyal fans. That is why many fans have truly loved her character. That is probably the real reason for the extension of the series after Farrah left the show for many seasons due to the so-called Kris Munroe Myth. And that's the reason why this episode gets the highest rating - the start of the Kris Munroe Myth.
