A terrible episode of a normally great show. All tension was lost through terrible acting, especially from the little guy who played that kid who died in the end. Good to see he hasn't performed in anything since and inflicted the acting world with his presence!
We are all aware of the dangers of playing a vicious game like rugby, but this particular episode completely overplayed on that concept by praying on every parent's worst fears. The overall plot of the episode was original enough, but was simply handled extremely badly!
Me, my wife, our nine children, Grandpa Joe and Aunt Bessy and Rex all gathered around the television set, hoping for another nail-biting addition of the world's greatest hospital related drama. Instead, we were offered this atrocity of a school play in which barely anything dramatic took place apart from the death the that god-awful actor in the starring role!
The dialogue was simply awful, not exactly leaving much to the imagination (and clearly didn't take any). The lines sounding like they came from a children's story entitled; "The Day my silly son broke his silly neck in a rugby accident"!
The actor in the starring role (Thomas Shroobsole or something) sounded as if he just graduated from junior acting class and got a B+. Bring back Charlie that's what i say.
Anyway; bad acting BAD EPISODE!
