For the second straight season, we get the same storyline about "Mrs. Bronson" (Molly Picon). This is the lady who won't leave her apartment no matter how many threats she receives from cops, commissioners, politicos, etc.
As they harangue her, she gives the same shtick over and over, offering them food and drink and wins them over in no time. Last year, she was in a condemned that was being torn out. This year she is in a new high-rise that only has the framework done. The construction is running late but Mrs. Bronson has her lease which says it begins on Aug. 1. How she got all her household goods up 20-30 flights of stairs since there were no stairs or elevators.....is never explained
This might be funny to viewers who never saw the first-year episode, but those of us who have this was the same old/same old and not that entertaining.
However, it was interesting to see Heywood Hale Broun, who I remember as a famous sports commenter and a guy with sartorial splendor, play the Health Commissioner in this episode.
