Storch Stars In This Very Funny Episode
15 February 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This was Larry Storch at his best in this series. A couple of other times he was in cameos in Car 54 episodes, playing the drunk "Charlie," but this time the whole episode is devoted to "Charlie" and it is very funny. Storch is simply fantastic to watch.

Toody and Muldoon, despite the objections of everyone else, desperately want to see Charlie go straight, get a job and stop drinking. They line up jobs for him but they don't work out for various (and humorous) reasons. They finally find the perfect place.....and then the cops ruin it! "Captain Block" and "Leo Schnauser" have the funniest lines in the episode.

This is one of the better ones in the two-season series.
