"Pass to the Slammer" begins with a reporter (Marlyn Mason) being called before a judge. It seems that she's written an article about a recent supposed car accident--and alleges that the death was NOT an accident. However, she refuses to name the source for this--and the judge seems ready to lock her up unless she cooperates. So, she hires Cannon to investigate the case--perhaps he can figure out why the man was murdered and who did it--then she won't need to go to jail or need to reveal her source for the story. This case ends up having its roots in an illegal scheme to bring folks illegally into the US--and the dead man somehow go on the bad side of these thugs. Overall, this is a pretty interesting episode--not great but enjoyable and worth your time.
