Can Matt finally best Bradley?
5 February 2014 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

Matt and his friends are jubilant to learn that a battle of the bands contest is happening at Sharky's. Matt is even happier to learn that his old rival Bradley and The Billionaires are ostensibly nowhere near the contest this year. During a rehearsal, Matt gets an unwarranted visit from Bradley himself, who taunts Matt about never being able to best him at anything, and lets him know that he plans on entering the contest. In order to get the deciding vote, the gang implores Matt to date the klutzy Angela. At first it is for the vote only, but Matt starts to develop real feelings for her. He comes clean about it to Angela, but Angela doesn't believe he really likes him. This was a bit of a step down from the pilot, but entertaining nonetheless. I thought the battle of the bands idea was good, Angela's awkwardness gave me some good laughs as well. The relationship between her and Matt made for a cute storyline. Sly holding out "Thumbs down" signs whenever other bands played was amusing as well. The problem with the bands is aside from California Dreams, everybody was mediocre. It was a waste of time in my opinion. Other than that, it was a fun episode. Besides, you can't go wrong with the song "If You Lean On Me"
