This Cades County episode concerns the Madrid County Sheriff's pursuit of people who capture and kill wild mustangs and sell the remains to dog food companies.
The wild horses are a protected species, but that does not stop George Maharis and his crew. In fact Maharis kills a man taking photographs catching hew crew
in the act.
This episode has some holes in it. Maharis for one thing makes a stupid mistake allowing for forensics to zero in on him as the suspect. But even worse we have Sam Cade the elected sheriff of Madrid County doing undercover work. I would think Glenn Ford's face would be too well known for that.
Definitely one of the lesser episodes of the series.
